Committed to Wellington
As one of your city councillors, I advocate for local interests, ensuring that every voice is heard and valued in our council decisions.
Whilst I have generally been in the minority and a moderate on a highly charged political driven council, I have been able to strongly advocate for local projects and hold the council to account.
I have been a city councillor since 2016 where I have earned a reputation for being resilient, results-driven, fiscally prudent, and a staunch advocate for Wellington’s core services. I have a focus on ensuring our city's growth is prosperous and have a deep commitment to the social and community well-being of all Wellingtonians.

Wellington is facing one of its most challenging and defining periods. The announcement of major reform of local government will have significant impact. All Councils will be required to refocus and reduce their core purpose. This is in addition to other key matters (rates affordability, care of infrastructure, community engagement) facing the city that have been outlined in its pre-election report.
Everyone agrees Wellington needs a reset — on priorities and delivery. With my experience, and a new Council, I’m confident we can rebuild trust in local government and:
Focus on the basics - reduce the council’s spending & deliver the services people want
Build stronger business advocacy – grow jobs, not bureaucracy
Develop shared services across the region – reduce duplication and waste
Put local voices at the table – so our suburbs aren’t sidelined
Wellington can’t afford a Mayor who needs time to get up to speed or understand the complexities of the proposed changes. As a three-term councillor, I know the Council and how the system works. I also know what needs fixing and how to navigate the challenges ahead. My mayoralty will focus on five core priorities:
Reset the Budget, Respect the Ratepayer
Get the Basics Right: Sort out the Roads, Waste & Public Spaces
Build Safer, Stronger Communities
Open for Business and Bold Ideas
Restore a Council That Listens, Engages & Delivers
Elections take place in October 2025 with the last day for postal voting being noon 11 October.
I’ve secured real results like: Funding for the arts and Khandallah Pool, new public toilets at Ian Galloway Park, holding the Council to account over spending and delivering greater transparency and accountability at the Council.
But this election isn’t just about the past, it’s about what’s next.
You’ve asked me to help: Prioritise core services, Make rates more affordable, and Reform the Council’s culture and delivery.
Let’s get Wellington delivering — at a price we can all afford.
